EIT Culture & Creativity is launching a call for proposals to fund Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses in 2025, designed to upskill professionals in the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI). This initiative supports Europe’s green, digital, and social transitions, focusing on key areas such as fashion, architecture, cultural heritage, audio-visual media, and gaming.

Key Dates

•    Call opening: 11 February 2025
•    Call closure: 11 April 2025 at 17:00 CET
•    Proposal evaluation: April – May 2025
•    Communication of results: Mid-May 2025
•    Tentative project start date: July 2025


Funding and Course Types

The call funds two types of CPD courses: EIT-labelled courses and non-EIT-labelled courses.


EIT-Labelled CPD Courses

EIT-labelled courses receive enhanced financial support and must be implemented by a consortium of 2 to 3 partners, including:
•    A Higher Education Institution (HEI) or Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider – Project lead
•    A business partner (startup, scaleup, micro enterprise, SME, or large company)
•    An optional third partner: a research institution, innovation and technology centre, or cultural institution to strengthen project outcomes

Estimated funding: Up to €150,000 per course
Course duration: Typically 1 to 3 months
Minimum impact requirements: At least 30 graduates, including 9 from Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) countries

Topics
•    Entrepreneurship & Creative Thinking: Foresight, strategic innovation, and creative leadership
•    Entrepreneurship & Emerging Technologies: AI, AR/VR for creative processes and digital mentorship
•    Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Architecture: Circular design, bio-based materials, and climate-resilient urban planning
•    Entrepreneurship & Gaming: Emerging gaming technologies, market competitiveness, and platform integration
•    Youth Entrepreneurship (ages 15–24): Training in entrepreneurial skills, digital tools, and sustainable practices


Non-EIT-Labelled CPD Courses

These courses can be proposed either by a single applicant (HEI or VET provider) or a consortium of two partners (HEI/VET + business partner).
Estimated funding: Up to €75,000 per course
Course duration: Typically 1 to 4 weeks
Minimum impact requirements: At least 290 participants trained

•    Architecture: Sustainable renovation, circular design, and bio-based materials
•    Audio-Visual Media: AI, data analytics, IP protection, and content monetisation
•    Cultural Heritage: Digital tools for archiving, storytelling, and craft preservation
•    Fashion: Circular design, digital supply chain optimisation, and SME growth strategies
•    Gaming: Advanced technologies (AI, AR/VR), global market strategies, and diversity promotion


Who Can Apply?

The call is open to:
•    Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers
•    Business sector entities: Startups, scaleups, micro enterprises, SMEs, and large companies in the CCSI sector
•    Research institutions and innovation centres (only for EIT-labelled courses)
