EIT Culture & Creativity is launching its 2025 Innovation Calls to support strategic initiatives in the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI). Two types of funding are available: Main Innovation Projects and Short Innovation Projects.
Main Innovation Projects Call
This call targets 12-month projects focused on advancing technologies from TRL 6 to TRL 9, with a clear objective of commercialization in the European market. Projects must address challenges in the following areas:
• Fashion
• Architecture
• Cultural Heritage
• Audio-Visual Media
• Gaming
Budget and Funding
A total budget of €7,000,000 is allocated, with a maximum funding of €350,000 per project. A minimum 30% co-funding is required.
Who Can Apply?
Proposals must be submitted by a consortium of at least two entities from different EU Member States or countries associated with Horizon Europe. One of the partners must be from the business sector (startup, SME, large company, business association, etc.), and the consortium must include both a commercial partner and an academic or research partner.
Timeline
• Call opening: 11 February 2025
• Call closure: 11 April 2025 at 17:00 CET
• Project selection: Late May 2025
• Results announcement: Early July 2025
• Expected project start date: Early July 2025
This call targets projects of up to 6 months, led either by a single entity (SME or micro-enterprise) or by a consortium of two partners. The goal is to accelerate the market entry of innovative solutions in the following sectors:
• Fashion
• Architecture
• Cultural Heritage
• Audio-Visual Media
• Gaming
Two funding segments are available: 1. Segment 1 (Single Applicants): An SME or micro-enterprise may apply alone to advance a technology from TRL 7 to TRL 9.
Total budget: €595,000
Maximum funding per project: €59,500
Minimum co-funding rate: 30%

o Expected project start date: Early June 2025
2. Segment 2 (Consortia): A consortium of two entities (one SME/micro-enterprise and one supporting partner such as a research center or technology provider) may apply.
Total budget: €2,640,000
Maximum funding per project: €120,000
Minimum co-funding rate: 30%
