The Competence Center of Excellence for Cultural and Creative Industries

The cultural and creative industries (CCI) are strongly impacted by the crises we are currently facing. However, these crises can also be times of reflection to structure and align these sectors more organically, enabling them to rebound and establish themselves in the long term. Faced with unprecedented challenges in this sector today, we recognize even more the importance that a Competence Center of Excellence for Cultural and Creative Industries (CMQe ICC*) can have in supporting the industry. This is achieved by collaborating with centers of expertise and proposing a label to facilitate climate, health, economic, and social transitions.

*CMQe ICC is the french acronym for Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d’Excellence - Industries Culturelles et Créatives (Traduction : Competence Center of Excellence for Cultural and Creatives Industries)

The CMQe ICC is well-equipped to anticipate the future needs of the CCI. Its mission is to bring together both public and private stakeholders in the local CCI sector to anticipate training, research, innovation, and international deployment needs (excellence certification).

The CMQe ICC plays a pivotal role, continuously and at the regional level, in fostering synergies among academic, socio-economic, territorial, and institutional stakeholders. It also ensures vigilance in identifying training needs and evolving content, and it enables the provision of technical facilities with a focus on pooling of resources: a regional network established through strong and lasting training and partnerships.

FICCTION, A "CULTURE" LAUREATE OF FRANCE2030

The FICCTION (Federation of Cultural and Creative industries for a innovation and guidance territory) project, led by the Competence Center of Excellence for Cultural and Creative Industries Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, is the "Culture" laureate of #France2030 in the context of the call for interest "Skills and Future Careers." It aims to support the transformation of the needs of cultural actors by adapting the initial and ongoing training assets of the sector.

FICCTION proposes a regional project in the fields of audiovisual and performing arts, addressing the major challenges of France 2030:

EDUCATE

27 innovative training actions will be implemented in the regional territory to support the development of in-demand professions and skills, effectively accelerating the CCI sector.

INTERNATIONALIZE

Innovate in sectors and leverage European networks for CCI structuring, such as the EIT Culture & Creativity. FICCTION proposes several actions for international outreach.

ANCHOR

Expand research and development actions, technical platforms, and key awareness activities about professions and orientation. FICCTION will spread across the entire regional territory of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, creating a genuine community of actors.

INNOVATE

Take actions to support digital transition and address new challenges in creation, techniques, and knowledge.

RESPONSIBILIZE

FICCTION aims to make CCIs a model for other sectors in terms of social, societal, and environmental responsibility, addressing issues related to gender, gender equality, and inclusion at the territorial level. Multiple actions will be developed, with a focus on making the entire CMQe ICC network and its consortium more aware of corporate social responsibility issues.
