The EIT Culture & Creativity (European Institute of Innovation and Technology Culture and Creativity)
The MIN4CI Foundation is a founding member of the European consortium of the EIT Culture and Creativity, aimed at strengthening and transforming the cultural and creative industries sectors by connecting multiple actors (artists, institutions, universities, businesses, etc.) in a large European innovation network.
The EIT Culture & Creativity has several objectives for its first seven years of existence :
- Strengthen and connect creatives and innovators across Europe, contributing to a more resilient and sustainable sector.
- Unlock the potential of the multitude of small cultural and creative actors through technology transfer, improved intersectoral collaboration, and their effective integration into production value networks.
- Strengthen artistic innovation as an essential element of the European innovation ecosystem.
- Strengthen the sense of belonging and values related to European identities.
- Leverage the unique position of cultural and creative sectors and industries to facilitate Europe's ecological, digital, and social transitions.
Programs of action and strategic thematic groups
To achieve its objectives, the EIT Culture & Creativity has implemented 10 action programs that develop project calls and strategic thematic groups that share reflections on defined subjects.
What is the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)?
It is based on the "knowledge triangle" (education, innovation, entrepreneurship) and brings together actors from education, academic research, and industry around high-priority themes for the European Union, including digitization, climate change, food, health innovation, sustainable energy, value-added manufacturing, raw materials, urban mobility, and cultural and creative industries.
STG (Strategic Topic Group) New Narratives for Territories
MIN4CI is the coordinator of one of the Strategic Thematic Groups (STG) within the EIT Culture & Creativity on innovative narratives.
The STG New Narratives for Territories examines the impact of territorialization on cultural industries by analyzing how innovative narratives drive territorial development.
Bringing together partners from 10 European countries, this STG focuses on understanding and strengthening the mutual and virtuous relationships between territories and narratives to promote innovation.
It serves as both a think tank that collects and analyzes data from mappings and case studies and an action group that designs and implements training modules and incubation programs across Europe.
New Narratives for Territories is a tool for all actors who wish to transform stories into action !
